SIDE A.) BULLSHIT MARKET:

I.) I NEVER WANTED IT THIS WAY:
We open with an extended piece by BULLSHIT MARKET that sits
at close to fifteen minutes in length and takes up the entire
A side of the release. These dudes always seem to do something
a little different. On this particular split we are presented
with Harsh Noise via blasts of steamy white noise over low end
drones that rumble and shake the floorboards. Vocals here are
low, down-tuned grunts and growls that sound like the rants
and raving of a victim of daemonic possession. Perverse lyrics
add to the whole "Excorcist" vibe they have going on. The noise
is manic and ever moving. Cut-up static and heavy electronics
mixed with high frequency pulses and wet textures as well as
sharp jabs of feedback that cut like a knife. Buzzing and
humming sounds wrestle with dense, disjointed drones. Random
angsty outbursts and anguished yells fly at you and vanish
under sections of noise that flicker out like a dying light.
HNW quality vibrations engulf the piece at times until spiraling
bursts that sound like someone fucking with broken live wires are
heard. The random vocal parts have a bit of a Grindcore quality
to them at times. At moments it literally sounds like someone is
trying to fuck their own gear while it's putting up one Hell of
a fight. All this while the repeated lyrics "I never wanted it."
are recited over and over in a gruff and inhuman voice. This stuff
gets pretty fucking intense at times. Blown out, shrill, and fucking
LOUD. A complete audio onslaught. Definitly not something someone new
to noise is going to be prepared for. Hands operate pedal knobs at
light speed. Rapid paced attacks filled with extremely manipulated
samples at times and completely fucked up drum patterns during other
points. Things fall into silence and then pick back up with drones
that struggle to rise but fall back down before any progress is made.
Fierce vocals and static fuckery fight against these as well. Concrete
slabs slide and shift beneath and soaring signals grind their way into
your mind. Total insanity. Glitchy synths form broken rhythms and fade
into a purring sorta sound as mic feedback squeals. Random sounds of
someone fumbling with unseen objects along with cut up high end tones
bring this one to an abrupt stop.

SIDE B.) CONTRAKTOR:

II.) UNTITLED/FAMILY:
Next CONTRAKTOR follows with their own brand of Harsh Noise/Power Electronics.
Dense sound compositions drift as whining frequencies stretch out. Distant and
cavernous stuff. Samples of an argument on whether or not John Wayne was a homo-
sexual help to open the track. Soon we go into jagged Harsh Noise, High pitched
ringing and buzzing textures. Spoken/shouted vocals come through semi-buried in
the mix, but still audible and easy to comprehend. Panning atmospheric ambiance
adds a cool touch to the track. Spacey echoing sounds ping and bounce between
the speakers. The vocals sound pissed but restrained. As if CONTRAKTOR has some
shit to say but is trying to go about it in a somewhat civil manner. Pedals send
pulses through the speakers like an S.O.S. as if to say shit is hitting the fucking
fan. They gain speed and shoot out like plasma cannons assaulting everything in their
path...Chirping blasts that fire off as an earthquake of Harsh Noise roars and groans.
Very obscurred/smothered screams come through generous amounts of distortion preaching
truths about how fucked up family can be. The rage, anger, spite and general state of
being fed-up is still somehow audible through the hectic mess that CONTRAKTOR has backed
himself into. He lashes out like a cornered animal, Both musically and lyrically. The
dude just sounds like he is fucking done with people's bullshit. Music one can truly
relate to for once.

III.) LIVE AT HARSHFEST:
We end things off with a punishing live track. The overall recording quality is a bit
muffled compared to the previous but all the fire and ferocity is still present. Dense
noise falls like a rocky landslide over an audience that is about to be pretty fucked.
The vocals are really muffled and sound like they are coming from some insane fucker
with a muzzle strapped over his gnashing teeth and flailing jaws. Ultra dense noise
pours out like a river of frustration that's only goal is to drown any and every
mother fucker it can. Grinding, shredding, smothering stuff that slowly collects
in a pool of filth and debris. Pedals rev up like powerful engines to show off
their might. A totally uncompromising and brutal demonstration of aggression.
Things cool off towards the end and build back up in slow barrages until the
restraints are broken and we are kneck deep in noise once again. An excited and
pumped up crowd cheers at the end absolute approval. In other words...This dude
does some pretty fucking good shit.

BOTH SIDES ARE KILLER. AND BOTH SIDES SOUND LIKE THEY WANT TO KILL YOU.
