SIDE A:
I.) YOUR HALLOWED SOULS (FEAT. MATRON THORN)
II.) ATTENDING TO AN EMPTINESS /
SIDE B:
III.) TRILITHON / IV.) MARIS FORTUNA:

Two heavy hitters in the underground noise scene have joined forces to
bring you a beast of an album.Massive sub-bass dirges pour out as high
tones that sound like the flutes of a lost tribe of cannibals fill the
air.Screeching feed back and shifting distortion. It feels as if something
is lurking within the shadowy depths of a thick jungle...Growling in delight
as it tracks it's prey.Heavy drones roll out over distorted and fragmented
rhythms. The overall atmosphere is cold, damp and murky.Crushing guitar riffs
hang in the air like corpses dangling from the gallows.Everything sounds like
it's in the long, slow process of decay.Lead guitars wail in the air.Lo-fi like
early 90's Death Doom demos played in slow motion.Harsh crackling noise and sub
bass plummets rise and drop like coiling serpents.Generous amounts of delay and
reverb are applied to the guitars to give them a distant and cavernous feeling.
Like hearing them echo and bounce of the walls of a dark and dangerous cave deep
in the heart of an ancient rain forest.Dense noise splits the ground like great
roots slowly taking up residency in your home.Obscurred blast beats pound in the
background creating a chaotic mass of sound. At times it sounds like a large area
of trees being split with axes and collapsing all around you.Beautiful leads sing
in calm and hazy tones until they morph into pure feedback. There is quite a lot
to experience here to be honest.Sometimes long bouts of really heavy noise can
have a tranquil effect on the listener...Soothing brutality. This is one of those
albums. The kind of stuff that manages to crush your head in as well as lull you
to sleep.Catatonic trances are to be expected with this one.The guitars kind of
remind me of a few BORIS albums with the way they seem to resonate and vibrate.
After a while everything becomes a senseless gathering of frenzied rhythms as
the lines begin to blur.Scratching distortion fills your ears as the tones seem
to gnaw on your sanity and claw away at your comfort.Bellowing atmospheres moan
and retreat.Various layers and textures can be heard if you listen closely...
They seem to dwell beneath the track like bottom feeding creatures. They serve
their purpose from the shadows but never climb up into the light.Wave after
wave of haunting synths bleed through like pale light through fragile glass,
Bathing the room in a painfully mournful atmosphere.Like TERRA SANCTA ran
through a distortion pedal and cranked up to ten.Ghostly ambiance that
falls across you like headlihts penetrating your privacy through your
window...All while churning rhythms continue to grind away at your mind.
Bass guitars go from stalking to hunting and dissapear when they feel the
time is right.AUDITOR and CROWHURST have birthed a deadly predator and it's
feeding time.On the flip side we open up with some seriously heavy synths
that drone on over pounding Industrial grade bass drums. The ground quakes
beneath you as punching percussion's shoot out in sharp jabs. The atmosphere
around you is thick and all consuming...Sort of like THEOLOGIAN meets NEGRU
VODA for a while until all becomes a dizzying blend of static terror.Distorted
bass guitars rise as what sounds like a thousand running spiders is heard coming
at you.Traumatizing and did I mention really fucking heavy? There are not many
artists doing this style of noise and out of all of them...Few have managed to
make it sound this deadly. It sounds like a black vortex spreading over the face
of the earth to bring planetary if not cosmic destruction.A manifestation of pure
evil with only one thing in mind.To devour and annihilate.Danvers State records
have just been killing it lately and this is just another fine example of what
small DIY labels can offer to the underground...And on that note AUDITOR and
CROWHURST have been doing the same with their recent releases. To call this
mind numbing would be an understatement. The sound is massive and the damage
inflicted is impossible to calculate.Washed out static noise and crackling
static poured out over punishing bass tones...Like two contrasting sounds
tag teaming in a brutal gangbang and you're in the middle.Haunting synth
choirs molested in harsh distortion spill out and reverberate like the
soundtrack to a mass funeral...They lead us into another movement of
pure audio grief.Like witnessing a tragedie with countless casulties
and then being present as their loved ones gather to join in sorrow.
I would describe this as "Harsh Funeral Ambient" Like a sad movie being
looped on a busted projector and broken, blown out speakers.Endless downer
drones in a grand display of misery.Buzzing electronic strands reach for
the heart and forcefully drag it down into the mire. After a while all just
sort of becomes a humming electric soundscape. An endless field of live wires
singing a song for the departed...This is soon joined by moody organ ambiance
and another force fed helping of absolute woe.We end here broken and hopeless.
In the words of the great BRIGHTER DEATH NOW..."May All Be Dead."

TWO BANDS SHOWING VERY DIFFERENT SIDES.THERE IS A GREAT CONTRAST
FROM SIDE A TO SIDE B SO IF YOU WANT SOMETHING HARD HITTING AND
DIVERSE THEN THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU:

7/10
