ON TWO CLEAR CASSETTES WITH RED LABELS.
ARTWORK BY: JASON "EVIL" COVELLI
PLAGUE MOTHER IS:
ROMAN J. RITES
INVERTABIT IS:

CITIZEN 2-13 IS:
MATTHEW V. MICHUDA
DAN OF THE EARTH IS:
DAN...OF THE EARTH

TAPE I:

SIDE A.)
PLAGUE MOTHER:
I.) HEAD IN YOUR HANDS / II.) HEAD IN A NOOSE:
Tape one begins with PLAGUE MOTHER drilling into your brain with
pure high pitched feedback.Grinding rhythms are heard in short
rising bursts but they don't stick around for long at first. It
begins to border on irritating and painful but in this genre it
is to be expected at times. If you're into high end ringing then
it's your lucky fucking day.Track two finally arrives in a relieving
burst of distorted rhythmic noise.Crumbling sounds like field recordings
of buildings falling before a backdrop of static and debris.Harsh but in
a way that is soothing and enjoyable.Static sounds lash out like razor
sharp whips and slice the air around your ears.Low end bass movements
turn and churn and then before you know it all is silent and we are on
to the B side.

SIDE B.)
INVERTABIT:
III.) DISTANCE:
INVERTABIT starts out with minimal crunching noises that sound like a
small gathering of rats chewing on the unrecognizable carcass of something
long dead.Bones crunch and crack under the pressure of tiny teeth as flesh
and sinew are greedily ripped from their places.Ringing feedback carefully
peeks it's head to see what all the fuss is about until it's presence scares
the feasting rats away.Crickets chirp along with the feedback and form the
illusion of patterns as the droning high notes persist.Noise similar to the
sound of moth wings rapidly flapping near your ears are heard and come in
calculated times to form a pulse like beat to the track.Low winds begin to
rustle and what sounds like scurrying insects treading quickly over dead
leaves can be heard. The droning songs of nocturnal birds and beetles join
the chorus and we have a summer night symphony in full swing.Low and distant
ambiance mimics the sounds of rolling ocean tides for a few moments and then
tape one is complete.

TAPE II:

SIDE C.)
CITIZEN 2-13:
IV.) AS BLOOD FILLS THE LUNGS:
Best song title on the album! CITIZEN 2-13's contribution starts out with
wet, dripping sounds similar to water dripping into a large plastic bucket.
Reverb and delay is applied to give it a "dreamy" feeling as the blood begins
to pool...Echoing blasts of distortion and feedback signal that the emergency
is real and death is coming.Static bursts pour out over minimal electronic
fuckery until all is a flood of distorted sound. What started as a few drops
is now a tsunami.Rivers of blood course through your wind pipes as walls of
sound suffocate the listener.Claustrophobic and closing in more and more with
each passing moment.Swirling tones form crimson whirlpools as the last few
agonizing moments of life are endured.Echoing sounds that make me imagine
thrashing limbs are heard as bubbling noises come like the white frothy
saliva of a man ten seconds from death...And then it's lights out.

SIDE D.)
DAN OF THE EARTH:
V.) HAMBURGER LADY (THROBBING GRISTLE COVER):
Moody drones that rise and fall are heard keeping in the tradition of the
original version of this song.Pounding mid tempo bass drums add pace and
frame the soft raspy words in-between beats. An eerie narration of a disfigured
woman in absolute agony are recited over the distant sounds of human suffering.
Tortured screams come in go...full of shock and disbelief.Though this is a very
minimal approach to the THROBBING GRISTLE classic...It is effective and adds a
new eeriness to the already disturbing story...The fact that this song is based
on a real life eye witness account just makes your skin crawl even more. When covering
a band as legendary as THROBBING GRISTLE you are treading in risky territory but I can
honestly say I enjoyed DAN OF THE EARTH's interpretation of the song. This is my first
time hearing this project and this made me curious to hear more so that is always a
good thing.

REVIEW-SWOLLEN ORGANS/AQUA-EROTICUM-SPLIT-CASSETTE

SWOLLEN ORGANS/AQUA-EROTICUM-SPLIT-CASSETTE
URGENT TELEPATHY RECORDINGS/UTR012
POWER ELECTRONICS/DEATH INDUSTRIAL
COMES IN A PLASTIC CASE WITH J-CARD INSERT.
ON A BLACK CASSETTE WITH LOGO STICKERS ON THE TAPE.
CASSETTE COMES TIED WITH TWINE.

SIDE A.) SWOLLEN ORGANS:
I.) FUCK CAGE / II.) FASHIONING A SHANK FOR REVENGE:

I am pretty sure I've said this before but I am gonna repeat it anyways.
SWOLLEN ORGANS just seems to be getting better and better with each release.
While the early works were more lo-fi and raw...The newer material sounds more
focused, fuller and deadly. The tracks presented here are louder and injected
with a heavy dose of sinister ambiance that dwells below and keeps things
moving forward.Vibrating electronics and pulses over moaning sub-bass open
up the album.Strange rhythms that sound like they were created out of the
sounds of panicked heavy breathing can be heard repeating like a wordless
mantra as vulgar yet humorous samples lead us into blasting distorted noise
and high end tones that sound like a rusted and un-oiled contraption of some
sort scraping and shambling it's way down the road.Semi-distant distorted vocals
come in pissed of shouts...It sounds like SWOLLEN ORGAN's despise everything in
the room and everyone close enough to hear about it is gonna hear about it.Passages
of low rumbling sub-bass and high frequencies take over as pitched shifted spoken
words are heard in a low and miserable tone...Like a last recital from someone right
before they pull the trigger and blow their head all over the wall...Scrapping noises
and rising pulsating drones take us into another harsh assault of sound only this time
it is twice as pissed off and totally fed up.The vocals are magnificent and strike out
like furious fists.Feedback cuts through thick strands of distorted noise with the
sharpness of your moms favorite kitchen knife and then we fade into track two.
Dizzying high end frequencies climb and fall over rustling rhythms that sound
like some depressed hoarder shambling through the mess that has become their
life. After a while it begins to sound like someone digging through the trash...
Discarding aluminum cans and glass bottles carelessly as they search for something
worth while.Low spoken vocals warped with effects narrate the track as it lurches
along in a slow, depressing crawl.Moody, miserable and bleak.Someone has to be
going through some shit to make music like this.Repeating words in a dark and
sarcastic tone play out over a mind numbing drone with no end in sight...All
while the rustling of garbage continues to form a skeleton for the track to
build off of.The SWOLLEN ORGANS side ends with the sounds of spilling trash
and broken dreams...Life is beautiful.

SIDE B.) AQUA-EROTICUM:
III.) INTOXICATION/DESTESTATION / IV.) DEHUMANIZE! /
V.) RED RED RED:

The AQUA-EROTICUM side does well to compliment the dreary and murky atmospheres
established by SWOLLEN ORGANS and expands on them even more...It sounds like
serial killer music.Stuff to play in a dingy basement with poor lighting while
planning out how to dismember and dispose of a body without anyone making any
connections that could lead to hard time.Gloomy drones gleam like a knife neath
the moonlight as additional electronic layers and textures build and shift.High
end feedback rings and resonates in the air as thick synths hang heavy.Distorted
vocals come in gruff screams and dripping slobber...Fed up and aiming to kill.
Uneasy vibes flow like a current of negativity...Everything is slow and serious
with a grim outlook. The feedback sounds like and creates visions of rusty chains
and meat-hooks swaying in a basement that doubles as a work space for someone with
something to prove. This is pure violence channeled through electric sound. The energy
is so strong here that you can literally feel it...Hateful and aggressive as fuck but
without ever needing to be overly harsh...A slow kill...The kind where there murderer
enjoys and takes in every second of the act.Waves of static sill out over looped and
grinding rhythms that sound similar to large concrete slabs being dragged across a
cement floor...Or perhaps the lid of a crypt being slowly dragged upon or shut over
and over again.Hate soaked vocals laced in misanthropic carelessness dance with well
placed feedback that seems to enhance the point of each word.Fairly minimal in approach
and execution but without being dull.Sub-bass quakes come like rolling thunder from
bloated black clouds above your household. The rhythms morph while the overall tone
and quality of sound stays the same.Scraping noises join in a little later and sound
like someone laying waste to sheets of scrap metal with a crobar.Like before it sounds
furious but still slow.A long drawn out bout of rage.Thick static is added and cracks
through the speakers soon to be joined by vocals intoxicated with spite and contempt.
The overall tone is bitter and disgusted...Where SWOLLEN ORGANS seemed a little more
self loathing and fed up, AQUA-EROTICUM delivers like someone ready to kick your ass
in the parking lot of a bar...Shirt off, reckless and with no fucks given.

AN AWESOME PAIRING OF SLOW AND CALCULATED, YET VIOLENT POWER ELECTRONICS.
BOTH ARTISTS OFFER SOMETHING INTERESTING AND WORTH CHECKING OUT:

REVIEW-T.O.M.B./CLAVICULA SALOMONIS/BLACK SEAS OF INFINITY/BRIDE-4 WAY-SPLIT-2XC30

T.O.M.B./CLAVICULA SALOMONIS/BLACK SEAS OF INFINITY/BRIDE-4 WAY-SPLIT-2XC30
DANVERS STATE RECORDINGS-DSR57
BLACK NOISE/HARSH NOISE/DEATH INDUSTRIAL/BLACK AMBIENT
COMES IN A LARGE PLASTIC CASE WITH TWO
FOLD OUT INSERTS.ON CLEAR CASSETTES WITH
STICKER LABELS.

TAPE ONE:
SIDE A.) T.O.M.B.:
I.) BEYOND THE SHORES OF AKHERON / II.) SKOGR /
III.) PACT OF STEEL:

We start this massive split with T.O.M.B. aka Total Occult
Mechanical Blasphemy.Gloomy chamber music played on mournful
violins comes as a surprise as this is not what you'd expect if you're
familiar with the project.Heavy bass distortion comes followed by squealing
feedback. This track flows like a black river of dread as low raspy whispers
fill the air like a poison fog.It sounds like a creature awakening from ages
of death-like slumber...It's throat still dry and dusty from countless years
of oblivion. The track brings to mind WOLVSERPENT and AELTER as the funeral
drones are played in a similar manner.Rumbling distortion begins to stretch
out causing the floor to tremble and then all dives down into the howling of
haunted winds and feedback that mimicks guitar leads over wretched and raspy
screams. The next track comes slow...Crickets chirp in the stillness of the
night as tribal hand drums are played to accompany a ritual soon to begin.
Low drones moan like the distant yawn of heavy machinery on a busy freeway.
Various birds communicate in shadowy trees. It sounds like a long forgotten
tribe in a fevered frenzy...Dancing wildly as sacred rites take place. You
can hear footfalls and the crunching of leaves which makes it feel like
you are witnessing this from afar while well hidden.Mysterious chants can
be heard if you pay close attention. And just before you find out what is
going on you are met by a silence that leads to heavily distorted pounding
that somehow sounds like down tuned guitar riffs and strange muffled speech
that almost sounds like an excorcism in progress.Odd sounds fill the air
that resemble a distant and disembodied brass section playing out of tune
and off tempo.Light ambiance on frail strings begins to float and hang in
the air as loud masses of distortion pound you into submission.Swarming
static and noise comes and vanishes.Sub-bass quakes rattle your rib cage
and bruise your flesh.Harsh high end noise spews fourth like a red hot
skin melting mist and all suddenly falls silent.Once again T.O.M.B. have
reinvented themselves while staying true to their dark asthetic.

SIDE B.) CLAVICULA SALOMONIS:
IV.) REGRESSION:

On the B side, CLAVICULA SALOMONIS roll in like thunder.Dense distorted
rhythms full of bass and decay spread like a new plague and infect your
system with their rotting sound.A high pitched ringing rises from out
of the murky haze but seems to know it's place as the crumbling distortion
still reigns and holds dominance.I wouldn't quite call this harsh but it
is immense and heavy. The intensity as well as the volume begin to grow as
the pace pics up to mid tempo churning.Crackling noise pops and snaps like
bones being broken and grounded into powder.Something about the tones used
here makes the track feel very dark...Like the sounds would be too thick
for any light to bleed through.Everything fades into humming electronics
and seemingly random bursts of distant noise.Feedback clings close to the
skeleton of the track like veins wound around bones.A flowing pulse of thick
distortion comes in timed gusts causing this massive track to feel alive.High
end electronics rise and descend as quiet crackling static is heard roaring
gently like a low fire. The track is appropriately titled as it does feel like
things have regressed to a minimal or "primal" state. This reminds me of some
of the tracks on the NEGRU VODA/KNOS split that came out on Malignant Records
last year...Minimal but effective...Without ever becoming dull or boring...It
is also very soothing in a way that I have only experienced from noise releases.
Long story short it works.Tiny blasts and gusts continue to spill fourth like a
micro-storm until all is shadowed by thick rising distortion, hissing static
and screeching feedback...Like a dragon awakening and taking flight as it chars
all it sees below with it's scorching breath.Additional layers come in like winds
from the beating of great wings until all is a raging whirlwind of destructive
sound. The tones of the feedback are almost painful towards the end.Everything
seems to form a massive, all devouring vacuum come to suck the essence from
everything in exsistence. What sounds like distorted bass guitar riffs is heard
in the last few moments...This ends tape one...Lucky for us there are still two
more bands to check out on this one.

TAPE TWO:
SIDE C.) BLACK SEAS OF INFINITY:
V.) VESSELS BEGAT BELETH:

BLACK SEAS OF INFINITY creep in with uneasy corroded ambiance that sounds
like something out of silent hill.Echoing and unsetteling.Everything feels
dreary and uncertain...Heavy distortion under crisp tones of hazy synths
and sweeping winds that sound like breath escaping from salivating jowls.
It feels like you are in some huge sewer complete with dripping pipes and
diseased air flowing over stagnant and freezing waters. The atmosphere is
not fit for human inhabitance.Bellowing chamber ambiance takes over and
sounds like the soundtrack from a B horror movie from the 80's...Like the
sort of thing you'd hear on a Clive Barker film...Wet sounds like black
water circuling mildewed and rusted drains can be heared as chills begin
to run down your spine. This is certainly the most eerie track on the album
so far.Strange sounds come fourth like gargled signals from out of date
machinery. An odd digital nightmare.Moaning winds so dense they become
distorted as the volume increases cause a disorienting feeling.Again we
hear winds that sound like something exhaling after taking in deep breaths.
Musty and foggy. It feels like it would be hot and sticky if you could touch
it like the humid heat of a summer's breeze. This is the sort of shit that
makes you trip out.It creates the illusion of coiling creatures crawling
on your skin and probing your veins for warm blood.Ambiance laced in slime
and soaked in black bile. This is the first time I have heard BLACK SEAS OF
INFINITY and I have to say I am pretty impressed. If you stripped a good
portion of the distortion from DEMONOLOGISTS tracks then you may end up
with something like this.If you are into bands like FUNERARY CALL or
BURIAL HEX then I highly recommend getting your hands on this one.
The track has the same forboding stillness of a late night panick
attack and all the dread that comes with it.I am actually pretty
dissapointed that I hadn't heard this project sooner. This could
have worked as a perfect soundtrack to a movie like NIGHTBREED and
probably would have been more effective than what they ended up going
with.I would love to see someone put some visuals to something like
this.Music for late night explorations of haunted and forbidden places.
A perfect pairing to be on a split with an artist like T.O.M.B. At times
it sort of reminds me of ABANDONED ASYLUM...Especially towards the end but
much darker and much more deadly.

SIDE D.) BRIDE:
VI.) PAIMON / VII.) BETTER THAN HORUS /
VIII.) APPALACHIAN DULCIMER / IX.) IS GOD LOVE? /
X.) ELEMENTAL EVOCATION / XI.) YOU'RE COMING WITH US /
XII.) FLOWERS:

The Bride side opens with clanging ritual bells filling the air
with loud chimes. The atmosphere is being cleansed and charged in
preperation for the following rites to take place. It makes me imagine
that I have entered some strange antique shop full of arcane artifacts.
A place like the one in the beginning of the movie Gremlins.Following
that brief intro we hear cool and soothing ambiance.Dreamy stuff that
sounds nothing like anything else we have experienced on the album.I
can honestly say that this is truly gorgeous stuff and not at all what
I expected to hear going into this.Lush and overflowing. After this we
have a nice melody played on some ancient stringed instrument.Brittle
and frail tones fill the air with a hint of saddness.Simple and pretty
straight forward but at the same time it has a deeply contemplative effect.
The tune is played carelessly but without sounding sloppy. This takes us into
heavy bass drum beats and thick synths similar to those in track two but with
a little more depth this time.Lead pipe percussions ring out in the background
as mysterious patterns float above the base layers of the track. This is pretty
much minimal cold wave.Beautiful stuff along the lines of L'AVENIR or MATTHEW
AKERS.For those of you who don't know, BRIDE is the side project of one of the
members of T.O.M.B. A colder side of darkness. The next track is once again played
on the strings of some strange guitar-like instrument. They almost sound out of tune
but it works for what they are doing here...Like some kind of super bleak folk music
that lingers like a bad dream and clings to your heart like a parasite desperate for
nourishment. At times it almost sounds like an old grandfather clock chiming in an
empty hallway.A dust covered creature of habbit.Next comes dense walls of static
and distortion under spacey tones that rise like a mother ship taking off towards
some distant home world.Every track here is interesting and they all stand out in
comparison with the other artists present here.Everything here sounds unmastered
and raw.Rumbling sub-bass strands and moaning electronics pitch shifted way down.
After this we get a slap in the face in the form of whinning electronic noise that
continues to play out over distorted and hazy ambiance played on low keys. This track
feels really experimental...Bedroom noise fueled by long night of no sleep and too
much caffine...Not that I am complaining...More often than not that is how the best
stuff is brought to life.

HEART WRENCHING SOUNDSCAPES AND VIOLET EARTH RATTLING BLASTS OF DESTRUCTION

REVIEW-CITIZEN 2-13/SWOLLEN ORGANS-CAN'T HIDE-SPLIT-CASSETTE

CITIZEN 2-13/SWOLLEN ORGANS-CAN'T HIDE-SPLIT-CASSETTE
NOISECO2-13
HARSH NOISE/POWER ELECTRONICS
COMES IN A PLASTIC CASE WITH J-CARD INSERT.
ON A YELLOW CASSETTE WITH LOGOS STICKERS.

SIDE A.) CITIZEN 2-13:
I.) RITUALS I. II. & III.:

The CITIZEN 2-13 side offers up a triple dose of relentless Harsh Noise
in a constant state of metamorphosis.Varying tones that strike out and
bitch-slap the listener into submission.Myriad layers of sonic violence
in harsh distortion and screaming feedback.Dense rhythms roll out and
transform as white hot steam hisses fourth from ritualistic machines.
Strange tone fill the air like native flutes and vanish like ghosts of
dead tribes.Punishing landslides of corroded and distorted sub-bass
tumble down and fade into high end pulses.Repetitive segments lead
us into passages of all out destruction.Everything from frenzied and
rabid Harsh Noise chaos to shifting sounds of industrial factories in
full swing.Low winds sweep through voids of feedback as distant machines
pound and pummel in the background.Circular saws cut through metal and
fill the air with sparks and heat until they are taken over by marching
pistons and mechanical arms that thrust in a forceful display of inhuman
rape. It's like fist-fucking robots are having an orgy in your ear drums at
times.Decayed patterns loop and change into glitched out verions of what
they once were.Swarming gusts create small whirlwinds until they are lost
in assaults of harsh distortion that rips through the room like a violent
sonic tornado.Everything sounds crude and unmastered.Pure raw rhythmic noise
for your stimulation. For a short period of time there is an almost Death
Industrial vibe to the last track here.Dreary drones and resonating echos
hang in the air over heavy electronics until all is silent. From destruction
to death.

SIDE B.) SWOLLEN ORGANS:
II.) LIGHT AND HEARTLESS / III.) THE SURFACE OF YOUR BODY:

The SWOLLEN ORGANS side slowly gains momentum as harsh static rises
over deep drones and scrap metal rhythms that sound like a gate being
swung upon on rusty hinges over and over again.Crackling distortion can
be heard rumbling beneath everything like a mudslide of filth and sewage.
The vocals are screamed in wretched tones and sound utterly vile. This is
ugly music plain and simple. No gimmicks, no compromises...Just pure gritty,
lo-fi power electronics with a harsh noise aesthetic and early 90's sound.
All the attitude that made artists like ATRAX MORGURE, TAINT, GRUNT, Etc
so great can be heard here. For a brief moment things get a little quieter
as spoken samples are played over hazy drones and then we are blasted in
the face with skin melting static.Grinding rhythms churn as the vocals
return. This is some of the best stuff I have heard from SWOLLEN ORGANS
since the split with RAPE-X.There is a total DIY vibe here...Working
class power electronics from someone who is over-stressed and past the
point of fed up.The second track here begins with blistering high end
noise and enraged vocals that sound like they were recorded in a large
empty tunnel of some sort.Noise that resembles revving motorcycle engines
forms the bottom end of this one as pedals wail until they break the thresholds
of pain...Drilling deep into the centers of your ear cavities and dicking around
like they own the place.Mid-tempo bass drum rhythms stomp and hit hard until they
are all that can be heard.Warped and down right pissed off vocals spill out over
this and sound like some sort of alien warlord announcing a grand take over. This
is a great pairing of two different but equally intense styles of underground noise.
Fans of both should pick this one up for sure.

TWO INTERPRETATIONS OF AUDIO PUNISHMENT.BOTH SIDES KEEP IT
INTERESTING, SHORT AND TO THE POINT.IN YOUR FACE AND AGGRESSIVE:

REVIEW-DEMONOLOGISTS/ACTUARY-SPLIT-CASSETTE

DEMONOLOGISTS/ACTUARY-SPLIT-CASSETTE
PHAGE TAPES - PT:187
BLACK NOISE/HARSH NOISE/BLACK AMBIENT
COMES IN A CARDBOARD FOLD-OUT CASE WITH ARTWORK
ON THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.ON A BLACK CASSETTE WITH
SILVER LOGO ART PRINTED ON THE TAPE.
ACTUARY IS:
D. JOHNSTON
J. WELLMAN
A. MASOC
DEMONOLOGISTS IS:
CORY ROWELL

SIDE A.) ACTUARY:
I.) CASUALLY POSSESSED / II.) DREAMS OF BLACK-EYED ANGELS:
"Casually Possessed" opens up with what sounds like a storm of electric rain.
Walls of heavy sound in reverse. This bring a soothing feeling like that of nostalgia.
But at the same time it's like recalling a bitter memory so the experience is unsettling
as well.Unerving tones that resemble feedback play dreary melodies over deep rhythms.Repetitive
and nauseating.Winds sweep through as pure feedback rises. This sounds like something off of the
soundtracks to the Silent Hill video games. The feeling that something inhuman is lurking around
the corner is invoked as harsh hissing noise begins to spread out like a hazardous mist.Strange
electronic tones and textures fill the void causing everything to feel like a surreal dream or
hallucination...But one that is filled with shapeless creatures and formless nightmares.Heavily
distorted bass rhythms begin to churn out like spilling sewage joined by a haze of space ambient.
The distortion builds in momentum and intensity until it pretty much takes over the track.Like a
struggle for dominance between two otherworldly beasts.Sharp blasts of static shoot shrapnel into
the air.We are now in the red.A total danger zone. This is signaled by emergency alarms and warnings
that ring out and dissapear.Things become a mass of well organized and controlled chaos.Grinding
rhythms repeat and sound like the turning of rusted fan blades looped on repeat. This continues
and transforms back into the strange reversed sounds from the start of the track and then we go
into "Dreams Of Black-Eyed Angels" which starts with sub-bass build ups and cutting waves of
cosmic noise. This eventually leads us into a dimension of alien sounds and malevolent electronics.
Thick synths laced in static and distortion stretch out through time and space until they reach the
vanishing point.Psychedelic melodies play out and vanish as high end feedback screams through the
universe and harsh noise brings galactic destruction to races unknown to man.If these are the dreams
of the angels said to be our guardians, Mankind is screwed...Vacuums roar and moan as dying stars
send skyquakes throughout various universes. This is some pretty damn interesting stuff.Never a dull
moment with the ACTUARY side.

SIDE B.) DEMONOLOGISTS:
III.) MANGE INTO SEWAGE:
DEMONOLOGISTS take a different approach to destroying everything in existence.
One track of relentless, punishing harsh noise.Where ACTUARY were more subtle
in their onslaught...DEMONOLOGISTS present a more reckless and gritty slaughter
of the senses.Crackling distortion and rushing winds wreak havoc as rumbling
bass noise pushes it all forward in swooping currents. What sounds like heavily
distorted vocals can be heard as massive walls of sound spill out and pour into
the room like rivers of bile and black vomit.Daemonic screams surround you and
dance in your ears...This is hell on earth...And you have just been selected for
a permanent vacation.I always love when harsh walls of noise are presented without
becoming HNW.There are various changes here though it stays in the same general
direction...At the same time it stays pretty intense and interesting throughout
the duration of the track.DEMONOLOGISTS have always brought high levels of chaos
and madness but here it seems fueled with rage and strikes with a vengeance. At
times things drop into deeper territory.Immense sub-bass passages and less on
the harsh side but this never lasts long. The track lashes out again and again
as countless Daemons wail in torturous glee. One thing I have always loved about
DEMONOLOGISTS is how everything I've heard from them has a bestial sound to it.
Filthy and violent and just plain evil sounding.Glad to see that this continues
with each release while still managing to sound fresh and exciting. The longer
this track goes on the more you feel like it absolutely ravages you.If having
your sanity molested is your idea of entertainment then pick this up.If you are
looking for something a little more laid back then this probably isn't gonna do
it for you.

DIVERSE DESTRUCTION.TWO VASTLY DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO WRECKING YOUR
SANITY.BOTH ARTISTS PRESENT INTENSE SOUNDSCAPES OF AURAL CHAOS.THIS
ONE IS WORTH CHECKING OUT:

REVIEW-AUDITOR+CROWHURST-SUPPRESSION-COLLABORATION-CASSETTE

AUDITOR+CROWHURST-SUPPRESSION-COLLABORATION-CASSETTE
DANVERS STATE RECORDINGS-DSR59
HARSH NOISE/POWER ELECTRONICS
COMES IN A PLASTIC CASE WITH LARGE
FOLD OUT INSERT.ON BLACK CASSETTE.
ARTWORK BY: STEPHEN WILSON

SIDE A:
I.) YOUR HALLOWED SOULS (FEAT. MATRON THORN)
II.) ATTENDING TO AN EMPTINESS /
SIDE B:
III.) TRILITHON / IV.) MARIS FORTUNA:

Two heavy hitters in the underground noise scene have joined forces to
bring you a beast of an album.Massive sub-bass dirges pour out as high
tones that sound like the flutes of a lost tribe of cannibals fill the
air.Screeching feed back and shifting distortion. It feels as if something
is lurking within the shadowy depths of a thick jungle...Growling in delight
as it tracks it's prey.Heavy drones roll out over distorted and fragmented
rhythms. The overall atmosphere is cold, damp and murky.Crushing guitar riffs
hang in the air like corpses dangling from the gallows.Everything sounds like
it's in the long, slow process of decay.Lead guitars wail in the air.Lo-fi like
early 90's Death Doom demos played in slow motion.Harsh crackling noise and sub
bass plummets rise and drop like coiling serpents.Generous amounts of delay and
reverb are applied to the guitars to give them a distant and cavernous feeling.
Like hearing them echo and bounce of the walls of a dark and dangerous cave deep
in the heart of an ancient rain forest.Dense noise splits the ground like great
roots slowly taking up residency in your home.Obscurred blast beats pound in the
background creating a chaotic mass of sound. At times it sounds like a large area
of trees being split with axes and collapsing all around you.Beautiful leads sing
in calm and hazy tones until they morph into pure feedback. There is quite a lot
to experience here to be honest.Sometimes long bouts of really heavy noise can
have a tranquil effect on the listener...Soothing brutality. This is one of those
albums. The kind of stuff that manages to crush your head in as well as lull you
to sleep.Catatonic trances are to be expected with this one.The guitars kind of
remind me of a few BORIS albums with the way they seem to resonate and vibrate.
After a while everything becomes a senseless gathering of frenzied rhythms as
the lines begin to blur.Scratching distortion fills your ears as the tones seem
to gnaw on your sanity and claw away at your comfort.Bellowing atmospheres moan
and retreat.Various layers and textures can be heard if you listen closely...
They seem to dwell beneath the track like bottom feeding creatures. They serve
their purpose from the shadows but never climb up into the light.Wave after
wave of haunting synths bleed through like pale light through fragile glass,
Bathing the room in a painfully mournful atmosphere.Like TERRA SANCTA ran
through a distortion pedal and cranked up to ten.Ghostly ambiance that
falls across you like headlihts penetrating your privacy through your
window...All while churning rhythms continue to grind away at your mind.
Bass guitars go from stalking to hunting and dissapear when they feel the
time is right.AUDITOR and CROWHURST have birthed a deadly predator and it's
feeding time.On the flip side we open up with some seriously heavy synths
that drone on over pounding Industrial grade bass drums. The ground quakes
beneath you as punching percussion's shoot out in sharp jabs. The atmosphere
around you is thick and all consuming...Sort of like THEOLOGIAN meets NEGRU
VODA for a while until all becomes a dizzying blend of static terror.Distorted
bass guitars rise as what sounds like a thousand running spiders is heard coming
at you.Traumatizing and did I mention really fucking heavy? There are not many
artists doing this style of noise and out of all of them...Few have managed to
make it sound this deadly. It sounds like a black vortex spreading over the face
of the earth to bring planetary if not cosmic destruction.A manifestation of pure
evil with only one thing in mind.To devour and annihilate.Danvers State records
have just been killing it lately and this is just another fine example of what
small DIY labels can offer to the underground...And on that note AUDITOR and
CROWHURST have been doing the same with their recent releases. To call this
mind numbing would be an understatement. The sound is massive and the damage
inflicted is impossible to calculate.Washed out static noise and crackling
static poured out over punishing bass tones...Like two contrasting sounds
tag teaming in a brutal gangbang and you're in the middle.Haunting synth
choirs molested in harsh distortion spill out and reverberate like the
soundtrack to a mass funeral...They lead us into another movement of
pure audio grief.Like witnessing a tragedie with countless casulties
and then being present as their loved ones gather to join in sorrow.
I would describe this as "Harsh Funeral Ambient" Like a sad movie being
looped on a busted projector and broken, blown out speakers.Endless downer
drones in a grand display of misery.Buzzing electronic strands reach for
the heart and forcefully drag it down into the mire. After a while all just
sort of becomes a humming electric soundscape. An endless field of live wires
singing a song for the departed...This is soon joined by moody organ ambiance
and another force fed helping of absolute woe.We end here broken and hopeless.
In the words of the great BRIGHTER DEATH NOW..."May All Be Dead."
