III.) CARRION FOR THE FEASTS OF ANGELS / IV.) YOUR HEAVEN WILL WRITHE WITHIN
THE CHAOS OF MY HELL / V.) INTO THE BLOOD OF OUR KINGDOM:

The debut album "Culture and Principal.." By ISOLATOR can almost be considered a
commentary, documentary or narrative of all life in this universe as we know it
from start to finish. From the initial explosion that sets everything in motion
to the countless centuries of suffering in a slow crawl towards death, decay and
eventually; Our imminent annihilation."Cast Into Blood" Begins with a Big Bang
and sets everything in motion.Cymbals crash as the cosmo's expand revealing pitch
black synths that drone on with dreadful strings.Slow and foreboding like clouds
across the full moon.It sounds like a sorrowful film score played by an orchestra
of the dead in slow motion.Sub-bass death rattles and harsh winds spread out and
conqueror all in their path.As beautiful as it is wretched.Distant whispers fill
the air like unanswered prayers as hopeless themes play on thick bass strings.
The track crawls and twists along slowly like thorned vines and weeds coming to
choke off the life-source of a once radiant forest.ISOLATOR sounds like a plague
or pestilence making it's way around the world until it grips all life in existence
in it's crushing claws.Comparissons can be made to artists like COREPHALLISM or
ADERLATING but a little more minimal and isolated at times.Thunderclouds crackle
and boom and the gloom is heavy with this one.By far one of the darkest and moodiest
albums we have heard in this style."Mankind Shall Reap The Mistakes God Hath Sown"
presents us with over thirteen minutes of misanthropic mood music.Low bass drones
and razor sharp electronics stretch out under heavily distorted bass riffs in the
vein of DEATHSTENCH, THE SLAUGHTERED LAMB or GNAW THEIR TONGUES.Leperous winds bellow
and push fourth large gusts of disease as chamber ambiance flows like blood towards
a stone altar. The overall feeling of pure darkness on this album is absolutely crushing
and overwhelming. What sounds like distant hissing screams shriek and echo in the distance
as swarming static and violent riffing forces you into an early grave. It is rare that an
album in this genre sounds genuinely grotesque but there is just something about this one
that makes you feel like something is trying to dig it's way under your skin and devour
you from the inside out.Noises are heard that sound like the scratching legs of a thousand
black scarabs spilling out of the drains and pouring out of the floor boards. The density
and solitary emotions invoked here are similar to TERRA SANCTA but feel much more negative.
There is nothing uplifting or beautiful in conventional manner but there is a soothing and
almost comforting effect at times...Maybe it's the simple fact that ISOLATOR remind you that
life is temporary and all will be obliterated one day.Everything stays pretty consistent
throughout the track other than additional layers of electronics and what sounds like wailing
guitar leads on the horizon from time to time. The intensity builds but we never stray too far
from what we would expect...This however does not take away from the violence and fury of the
track itself."Carrion For The Feasts Of Angels" is an average lengthed track that opens with
decaying riffs and humming sub-bass in rolling black tidal waves.Distant screams ring out in
putrid disgust like the songs of fallen seraphim. The dense heaviness of the track is absolutely
mind-numbing.You can literally feel it like hands attempting to crush your skull. There is a lot
of movement to the piece as riff after riff churns out over pounding waves of filthy water.Like
a calm and calculated storm methodically taking out it's targets in a selective order. The vocals
are black as ash and sound like they come from a throat charred black by the flames of the pit.
It is rare that music genuinely sounds "Evil" anymore these days but ISOLATOR definitely do on
this one."Your Heaven Will Writhe Within The Chaos Of My Hell" is a nearly thirteen minute trip
through the depths of an audio Hell this band has created.Chanting voices and sinister whispers
are heard above noxious and drifting ritual ambient.A distant choir sings along sounding like
a legion of fallen angels in praise of the nothingness that surrounds them.Heavy riffs come in
pulverizing brutality until they become feedback and start again in a sadistic cycle of suffering.
Rain falls from the cracked and shattered ceiling of Hell as the track crawls forward like a serpent
on it's cursed belly.Rhythmic noise regurgitates distorted bile over and over until it suddenly dies.
The sound these guys bring fourth is massive. It sounds like a daemonic summoning more than a band's
recording.Quaking rhythms and low bestial growls put this right up there with artists like T.O.M.B.
or TREPENARINGSRITUALEN.Lead riffs ring out and vanish as funeral march percussion's add a pace and
a pulse. If you are into feeling and atmosphere as well as relentless brutality, ISOLATOR has it...
Maybe not in the same way a Black Metal or Death Metal band does it...But it's there in it's own
way.Formless yet consistent, Like dark matter spilling from the thrones of hateful God's."Into The
Blood Of Our Kingdom" is the final heavy hitter here and clocks in at exactly sixteen minutes. The
final track begins like any other dark ambient track.Deep moody drones played on despondent synths
that sound like a mass funeral.Chamber strings resonate and vibrate in a mournful manner that fills
you with a heavy hit of apathy. Then it begins...Something is approaching.Haunting synths and strange
static. It sounds like a portal to another world is opening up and something dark and beautiful is
pushing it's way through.Distorted bass noise scratches in the background as the yawning maw of a
world unknown opens before you.Just when you think some otherworldly beast is coming through you
are sucked into nothingness by nothingness. All is void.A nihilistic empire of non-matter.Long riffs
stretch out into infinity to form the formless realm around you.The further in we go we start to
notice floating debris as it grinds together in an awful noise that fills the empty spaces.Pulsating
rhythms begin and transform into droning riffs with no restraints.Dark energy flowing freely and eating
all it comes into contact with.Pummeling percussion's build and pick up their pace only to fall into
huge black schisms.Funeral Doom style vocals growl out and fade.Imagine MOSS playing DISEMBOWELMENT
covers and slowing the tempo down even more.If you are into bands like TREES, OCEAN, MONARCH, Etc
then you really need to check this one out.Total Death Drone.

ONE OF THE DARKEST BANDS WE HAVE HEARD SINCE GNAW THEIR TONGUES:

7.5/10
