THE VOMIT ARSONIST-THE FINAL PAGE-E.P.-CDR
ANNIHILVS POWER ELECTRONIX
POWER ELECTRONICS/HARSH NOISE/DEATH INDUSTRIAL
COMES IN A THIN BLACK PAPER SLEEVE WITH INSERT.
THE FINAL PAGE IS THE EPILOGUE TO THE FULL LENGTH
THE VOMIT ARSONIST IS:
The Final Page was inspired by a time of great personal suffering.
This is very apparent by the direction this little album goes in.
Unlike the later more Death Industrial oriented TVA albums...
Here we have four tracks of pure aggression and pain done as
straight foward and in your fucking face Power Electronics.
This is much more similar to Andrew Grant's work with his
previous project BEREFT than any recent TVA album...That
being said...Here Mr. Grant takes the pure rage approach of
BEREFT and applies much more personal subject matter to
give us a small idea of what true suffering really is.This is
some pretty harsh stuff...But harsh stuff with structure and
a keen sense of composition...So it has that going for it.Track
one begins as soft rumbling static followed by pulsating noise
and dense layers of shifting distortion. It sounds like a chorus
of death rattles ringing through an empty air of despondency.
Scraping noise knocks us off our feet and drags us into a deep
chasm of torment.Harsh feedback fills the atmosphere as sub
-bass destruction fills the void. The vocals are distorted screams
that lash out in quick bursts of rage and then vanish leaving you
disoriented and on your toes.A near silence falls as a gentle acid
rain pours slowly corroding the landscape...Consider this a time
out to contemplate your insignificance.Low synths start and are
quickly obliterrated by an onslaught of everything that happened
previously but amped up and unleashed at once.Total annihilation
ending with a harsh strike of static.
II.) WHITE GOWN:
Churning waves of distorted and disjointed bass rythms and hissing
noise that fills the air like a flock of locusts. They begin to tear, bite
and rip apart everything in site as winds filtered through phasers rise
and fall.Feedback howls like ravenous wolves stalking in the distance
but still too close for comfort.Moaning vocals linger in the air leaving
an imprint of woe and death.Distorted screams and growls join in as
havoc is wreaked on the listener. This sounds like a slow death in a run
down peice of shit excuse for a hospital. This is the sound of a disease
running rampant and slowly eating you from the inside out.Towards
the end the vocals become the rabid howls of the last few agonizing
moments...Rest in peace...Ripped to peices...
III.) IS IT WORTH IT?:
Low drones of ambience and some pretty harsh feedback.Slow and
contemplative.Death was just a dream...The suffering has only just
begun.Track three sounds like an anxiety ridden night of debate with
oneself...Take the easy way out? Or fight it til the end? Looks like we
are in it for the long run...Ripping distortion once again ravages the
listener but with a different approach this time around. It seems like
the vocals become more panicked and hopeless with each track. They
come in painful cries for help that remain unanswered.A huge blanket
of static and distortion spreads over everything...Similar to something
you would hear on a DEMONOLOGISTS track...This passes as the drones
we began with take the spotlight once more...Highly distorted screams
and feedback beg for mercy...None is found.
IV.)INFREQUENT AND PAINFUL:
The last track starts with low drones as well but here they are filled with
the sound of the hands of a clock racing as time runs out.Feedback fills the
air like the rusty gates of Hell swinging off their hinges to welcome you to
the end.Blurred and frantic screams give way to waves of crushing static.
The shores of Hell call you forward to take your place among the damned.
This is pure agony...Music for masochists...I am sure this was intended as a
means of therapy or an outlet for whatever traumatic events Andrew Grant
experienced much more than for "Musical Entertainment." Which I am sure
will just make you sadistic fucks want to get this album more...Well do it...
As usual THE VOMIT ARSONIST does not dissapoint.
