I.) UNTIL THAT GLORIOUS DAY, WHEN HUMAN LIFE
SIMPLY FADES AWAY:
Track one serves as an intro to "Will Suffer No More" and
leads us into the unexpected surprises to come. This album
keeps you guessing and keeps your attention from start to
finish...Considering who is on it and their backgrounds in
music it is hard to say just what is in store for the listener.
Especially since this was released by Annihilvs who I am
sure you know by now specialize in Power Electronics and
other mutant offspring of noise and industrial music. We begin
with low synths expanding across a gaping void of silence.Static
noise builds as winds stir.Orchestral strings play quickly as booming
symphonic drums pound in the background. This sounds like the long
awaited plot twists of an exciting thriller in progress.Vocals similar to
what you'd expect from Lee Bartow after listening to his works as
THEOLOGIAN stretch out into infinity like yawning chasms.Everything
winds down to a few measures of electronic ambience and we are thrown
off guard into what is to come.

II.) SELF ANNIHILATION/A BURST OF LIGHT AND WIND:
Monolithic doom metal.Crushing waves of guitar and huge
mid-paced drums.Choir like vocals form a beautiful backing
to the track as lead notes ring and hang in the air. This sounds
like a combination of the best elements of bands like A STORM OF LIGHT,
CIRCLE OF ANIMALS,THE HIGH CONFESSIONS,NADJA and maybe even
later era SWANS...We shift into an almost D.S.B.M./Doom like dirge with
more in common with NORTT than anything you would expect from the
man behind NAVICON TORTURE TECHNOLOGIES and THEOLOGIAN
to be featured on.Sorrowful leads howl as whirling noise ascends and drops
off into silence. This is not quite Drone and not quite Doom Metal exactly
but brings the best qualities of both to form a hybrid of underground styles
of metal.Almost eight minutes in length...This is what some would call "Epic
Metal"...It is almost a shame that Bruce Lamont from YAKUZA/BLOODIEST/
CIRCLE OF ANIMALS/Etc isn't present on this as this is similar to much of the
music he is involved in and his vocals would be an excellent feature here.

III.) UNAVOIDABLE AND INCONTROVERTIBLE CATASTROPHES I:
Electronic noise drones on the horizon as shifting glacial movements
are heard crumbling into the depths.Resonating ambience builds and
gives way to titanic riffs and slow Funeral Doom style drumming.Noise
and Metal joined as one in a beautiful intercourse of pure indulgence.
Haunting guitar melodies and even more haunting vocals. The vocals
are slow and choir-like...They hang in the air like angelic sentinals who
stand guard over the rest of the piece.Cinematic synths flood your ears
as crumbling sheets of ice crash into the ocean. The beauty of destruction
in all it's glory.

IV.) UNAVOIDABLE AND INCONTROVERTIBLE CATASTROPHES II:
Part two of "Catastrophes" starts with a bang and falls into a dense
display of decaying electronics and moaning sub-bass frequencies.
The sounds of soon to come landslides preparing for descent can
be heard through the near stillness. This is a short track that serves
as a bridge of sorts to cross over the threshold into the finale.
You might wanna run before the whole place caves in and your
trapped neath the ice and stone forever.

V.) THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL:
The landslide begins as soft whispered vocals speak in contrast
to the chaos around them. The earth quakes and becomes silent
until the next assault begins.Vocals almost burried in effects and
very similar to what Lee Bartow has been doing with THEOLOGIAN
for the last few years commence along a backdrop of sliding plates of
earth and ice.The ground beneath him is splitting into a thousand pieces.
His stage a massive fissure as he sings.Lee ushers us into a new dawn as he
tells us to "See the future"...A few brief moments of dense ambience and the
new millennium arrives in silence.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO SINK YOUR TEETH INTO.
I VERY STRONGLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THIS OUT
IF YOU ARE INTO BOTH NOISE AND METAL:

7.5/10
