OUT OF BODY RECORDS-O-O-BR010
INDUSTRIAL/EXPERIMENTAL/NOIZE
COMES IN A PLASTIC CASE WITH FOLD OUT INSERT
HAND NUMBERED-LIMITED TO 100 COPIES
OPPONENTS ARE:
J.SLUSHER-ELECTRONICS
J.GRECO-ELECTRONICS
A.FEINSTEIN-ELECTRONICS/VOX
SIDE A.)
I.) PSYCHOSEXUAL SPIRITUAL:
Early 90's style industrial in the vein of SKINNY PUPPY,FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY,
FRONT 242,ETC ETC...Dark ambient synth worship and clicking electronic bass
frequencies pulse through the night as vocals similar to early KILLING JOKE
or (Insert early classic here) emerge from the background.Layer the vox and
couple them with psychotic screams and wails concerning sex and insanity and
you'll know what your soon to be dancing to if you blast a copy of this rare
blend of modern experimentation and 90's goth...when music was dark yet still
heard in clubs and at events.OPPONENTS flawlessly capture the oldschool sound
in a new way...Never played out...Never boring.
II.) STRIP OFF YOUR SKIN:
Heavy throbbing pulsing synth bass and drifting ambience.Spoken word vocals
and crunching noize.Tekno thriller rythms and chirping insect signals.Again
we have layered vocals adding depth and keeping things interesting as well
as pacing the songs and expanding upon their foundations as it moves along.
Everything is blended to perfection. If your a fan of early industrial especially
in the early 90's then consider this a long lost gem released a decade or so
later. This album could have easily been a much requested repeater in nightclubs
the world over...Especially among Goth and Rivethead crowds.Beautiful keyboards
float over trance inducing electronic rythms. It's literally been years since I
have heard a band cook up something like this to release upon the unexpecting
masses.Spazed out blown out sonic jams for the oldschool cats.

III.) THE CENTIPEDE ELIXER:
Don't question what's in it, just drink it.Trippy electronics like walking through
Alice's Wonderland,The Twilight Zone, or being lost in deep space.Oldschool sci-fi
noize like you would hear in films from the 50's.Tekno synth bass begins to stomp
out in a looped repitition as slightly distorted voices moan out strange phrases
through multiple throats.Like the more out there work of SKY BURIAL filtered through
all analog equipment and laced with acid. The smell of improvisation is in the air
growing thicker and thicker with each computer bleep and bloop.Headphones recomended.
Space out and drift off...

SIDE B.)
IV.) 04:
The lack of a real title leaves you with a feeling of wonder and a curiosity for
what these dudes are about to unleash next with side B.Usually when a band pulls
a move like this it feels like they are just half assing it, but in this case it
works to great affect. So what do we have here? How about we find out.Seriously
mind numbing electronic weirdness.Have you seen the movie PI? Check out the soundtrack
and you will have an idea..Better yet pick up this tape from Out Of Body Records and
play it as an accompanying film score. What sounds like sampled horns of some sort can
be heard..Like what you would expect to hear before charging into battle or maybe your
just listening to the early work of CABARET VOLTAIRE? Both wrong it's OPPONENTS come
to fuck your shit up and leave you drooling for more.Muffled vocals bleed out and flow
along, dripping into each crack and crevice. This sounds frantic and panicked as if what
could go wrong did indeed go very wrong.Alien soundscapes.A glimpse into the forbidden.
And then it's death to all.
V.) DEATH TO ALL:
So the B side of this cassette is more on the experimental weirdness side of things and
I couldn't be happier as it really shows off what these dudes are capable and serves as
a brilliant introduction to the band.Harsh static seemlessly blended with crisp warm
abience.Slow paced throbbing rythms and coma inducing feedback.Picture a barren desert
where your wandering alone through howling winds.Losing your mind and hallucinating neath
a blistering sun. That's what this sounds like. Now imagine that desert is on some far distant
world with three suns of various size and color and strange creatures peak through holes and
cracks curiously watching as you tread on.Alien ambient at it's finest.
FOR COLLECTORS OF EARLY INDUSTRIAL/SONIC EXPERIMENTATION:
8/10
