FILTH-THE WITCHES PHARMACOPEIA-CASSETTE-FULL-LENGTH
MANIACAL HATRED-MH06
INDUSTRIAL/NOIZE/EXPERIMENTAL
FILTH IS: ROB BUTTRUM
ALL MATERIAL RECORDED LIVE
TO CASSETTE-NO OVER-DUBS
SIDE A.)
I.) MANDRAGORA:
Low static frequencies rise and wail like an air raid signal.
Pounding industrial percussion sounds in a strict millitant manner.
Warping cosmic electronics and other worldly synths rip through the
ear drums.Abrassive blasts without remorse. It sounds like an approaching
army ready to strike in a blitskrieg of death and fire.Hard hitting snares
and distorted shrieks. The assualt has begun.Walls of fuzz in rapid fire
bursts form a backing track to wails of suffering and blurred agony.
Breakbeat percussion along the lines of COMPACTOR begin with lazor
beams of noize as the vocals take on a more focused and aggitated tone.
Rumbling noize and hints of early industrial experimentation mingle
together until each sound devours the other in a chaotic frenzy.Tempo
increases and drops both confusing the listener and keeping them on
their toes.A second air raid sounds to pave the way for highly aggressive
vocals and another barrage of breakbeat madness.90's industrial mixed with
modern noize and machine gun rythms.Harsh sessions of insanity break out in
an audio plague and vanish as quick as they came.Cosmic winds and alien feedback.
Rob Buttrum has crafted an absinthe laced hallucination of pure indulgence to take
you past the fringes of normal human experience into the far reaches of his own
twisted creativity.Layers of looped moans and screams struggle to be heard through
waves of black static.Extreme experimentation.Chirping night creatures in an ocean
of black.Layer upon layer of textured weirdness.Rushing winds.Bubbling, oozing
noize and manipulated tape frequencies.Rumbling sub bass synths drag across
the floor and vanish.Flip the tape.No turning back.
SIDE B.)
II.) BLACK HENBANE:
Quakes of pounding electronics and high end blasts of feedback-esque sound.
Deep throbbing bass and harsh uneasy noize.A repetitive drone of sub bass
rythms and sci-fi electric sound gives way to a buzzing burst and more high
end weirdness. It's hard to compare this to anything as this is an organism
of unique genetic make-up.The horrors of evolution at their worst.Snare drums
attack in perfectly timed blasts like marching drums through a gateway through
time and reality.Far in the distance screams float in black miasma.Similar
to really early CURRENT 93 but with the anxiety ridden electronic fuckery
of BOYD RICE/NON.Brutal screams and peircing feedback among thick strands
of throbbing synth-like weirdness.Transmission complete.
III.) DEADLY NIGHTSHADE:
Super aggressive hard hitting industrial beats.Sentinals police the area
scanning for targets.Distorted screams wearing harsh noize camoflauge blend
into it all sometimes overpowering everything else in sight and sound.Frantic
robotic codes and communications as the aggrobeats play on.This sounds like
an 80's sci-fi tekno-thriller.Full of action and panicked scenes as the machines
close in on a lone human runner.Imagine a maximum securty prison guarded by armed
drones and your on the run.Scanning each and every corner as you sweat in a small
hiding place packed with so much adrenaline that theres hardly any room left for
you there. There will be wars in the future.FILTH has seen them and brought us to
us.All hell breaks loose in an avalanche of deep static and looped screams.Static
ends and only screams remain.Harsh and abrassive.Another landslide and it's back
to the 90's style industrial aggression.Like a repeating nightmare on a prison
transport unit. There is no escape. This is your hell.Soon enough you'll be just
another drone.
Dazed and confused industrial noize for the brave:
8/10
